If I could paint with soul,
A piece of sky so bright.
I would put in lots of butterflies,
And put them into flight.
Off into the glowing rays of sun,
They would flit and flutter,
And one by one, floating toward the light.
Shimmering into silky white.
They'd dance all around me,
As if enjoying their day.
And sing a silent chorus,
Performing a ballet.
I'd set them in motion.
And send them high.
Like tiny little angels,
Winging toward the sky.
If I were an artist,
A butterfly artist I would be.
Giving God butterflies to enjoy,
Just as He has given them to me.
