I have a rock to lean on,
Safe and secure.
One that never moves away,
But is steady and sure.
I can sit there as waves crash before me.
I can talk to Him because most people ignore me.
I can come to Him and confide.
I can run to Him and hide.
No matter the storm,
No matter the sea.
No matter if I am dry or drowning,
He is there for me, and crowning...
My weary head with His light.
He lifts it high, to look in His eye.
Why should I fear or worry,
Whose child am I?
He is the rock that is higher,
The flame in His eye, sets me on fire.
I am my beloved's, He is mine.
Rest on the rock of ages, I know it turns out fine.
