Speaking life is not the natural thing we do,
It is what we learn in Christ.
To taste and see and consider,
The words we say, swallow or chew.
It is not the natural thing,
We digest what we swallow.
We can actually bring, bitterness to the soul,
By what we allow or follow.
Words taste bad,
If said and anger or haste.
Words are God's gift.
A vocabulary is a too precious to waste.
Words of love,
Heal what is broken.
Words of hate, sour, spoil.
Forgiveness, apologies, unspoken.
Words from God,
Created the universe.
Words are powerful, use them wisely.
For either, they bless or curse.
