Why should we rest?
Why get more sleep?
To be blessed,
His promises, He does keep.
Why should we rest?
Or even care?
Because God does,
And He is always there.
Why should we rest?
Because, beloved are we.
God is awake,
There's nothing He can't see.
Why should we rest?
Why stay awake and worry?
God is close by,
He doesn't have to hurry.
Why should we rest?
Surely we should pick up the pace.
No beloved, God says relax.
Rest in His amazing grace.
