Streets of Gold

To walk on streets of gold,
Lit by the glory of God.
To walks the footsteps of the Lord,
Where angels also trod.

To feel the cool street,
Beneath my feet.
And with my robe, shining bright,
Standing before a throne of white.

I'll knee in haste,
Not a second to waste.
Blessing the King, a praise to sing........
O, taste and see He is good, and He would,

Do all these things for me.
Unworthy was I, but He chose to die.
Why? He loves me,
And wanted me to be free.

Walk with me Jesus,
Upon your golden street.
When I have walked so weary before you,
Now just let me rest at your feet.

When Jesus Kissed My Heart

When Jesus kissed my heart,
I felt His warm embrace.
My cheeks began to blush,
A smile, a tear, was on my my face.

When Jesus kissed my heart,
All my fear was gone.
I knew love was with me,
I was never alone.

When Jesus kissed my heart,
It melted into His grace.
For I had a perfect Lord.
Who prepared for me a perfect place.

When Jesus kissed my heart.
I was amazed at what He'd done.
I was a child of God,
An heir, with His beloved Son.

When Jesus kissed my heart,
His love for me, was forever, divine.
It will never miss a beat, know defeat,
For His love is perfect, and is forever mine.

The Butterfly Artist

If I could paint with soul,
A piece of sky so bright.
I would put in lots of butterflies,
And put them into flight.

Off into the glowing rays of sun,
They would flit and flutter,
And one by one, floating toward the light.
Shimmering into silky white.

They'd dance all around me,
As if enjoying their day.
And sing a silent chorus,
Performing a ballet.

I'd set them in motion.
And send them high.
Like tiny little angels,
Winging toward the sky.

If I were an artist,
A butterfly artist I would be.
Giving God butterflies to enjoy,
Just as He has given them to me.

Autumn

Autumn is upon us,
As leaves rearrange landscapes,
And change mountain escapes,
Into autumnal colors.

Reds, crimson, rust and gold.
God's handiwork to behold.
Bright and bold, beauty unfold.
Fall or autumn, crisp not cold.

And oh, the beautiful rainbow of colors,
God must have looked down and smiled.
And maybe, even laughed at purples,
Autumn has gone plum wild!

Love Note

I write you a line or two,
Just so you will hear,
The words from my heart,
As I hold you near.

You may be close by or a far away,
But your angel is beside me as I pray.
Read my note, and you will hear,
God whispering, I love you, in your ear.

Angel For You

A little angel, to guide you,
And  protect you as you start your day.
Heaven sent! I know where she went.
Because you know I always pray.

So have a good morning,
Pleasant afternoon,
And an O, Holy Night.
Angels watching, it'll be alright.

Angels Breathe

Grace and peace, peace and grace. How often intertwined and embraced, the softness of a dove or innocence of a face. Rebecca Jones:

Angels breathe a sigh upon the wind,
Remember words of kindness.....
Keep secrets, but may inspire a word or two,
Whisper them to a friend.

Angels breathe upon the sunshine,
As golden as God's love is warm.
Keep a lantern near me,
Weave upon my pen the phrase to form.

Angels breathe His peace,
Upon a weary soul.
And angels sing His praise and joy.
I need them to be whole.

Angels breathe upon my day.
God's amazing grace.
Walk beside me on my way,
Until I can behold His loving face.

I will see angels breathe and sigh,
When I praise my loving Lord,
And thank Him for sending them.
As I look Him in the eye.
